Babolat VS Touch Natural Gut 1.25
Natural gut rather than a synthetic material — the most expensive string in this batch, and the one whose reputation for comfort and tension-holding rests on decades of tour use rather than a single manufacturer's marketing copy.
What the sources agree on
Material is the single biggest lever for feel in a tennis string, and natural gut is the one material category every other string in this batch — and most strings generally — are still measured against for comfort and tension retention. It's a genuinely different material from polyester or synthetic gut, not just a premium-priced version of the same thing, which is why it commands a price several times higher than the polys reviewed above.
Where they disagree
This listing doesn't carry published tension-loss or restring-interval figures, so while gut's reputation for holding tension longer than poly is about as well-established as anything in stringing, we don't have our own sourced number for this exact product to confirm it against — and gut's other well-known trade-off, lower durability against abrasive shot-making, isn't something the spec sheet captures either.
